Schlangenbad/Hilchenbach/Düsseldorf, August 2017: Since its founding in 1977, Omnitron Griese GmbH has been distributing quality products in Germany and Europe from its headquarters in Schlangenbad near Wiesbaden. Today, the company is much more than a supplier of semiconductors, batteries, and rechargeable batteries: Omnitron also handles development and supply chain management for national and international customers and delivers perfectly tailored products for demanding applications in a wide range of fields. In August 2017, the system integrator celebrated its 40th anniversary.
Transition from distributor to manufacturer
In the four decades since it was founded, the Rheingau-based company has transformed itself from a semiconductor distributor to a provider of integrated system solutions with three locations. Omnitron Griese GmbH has secured and continuously expanded its market share in a wide range of industries, such as the assembly of battery and rechargeable battery packs and digital microwave radio technology.
For example, more than 200 different customer-specific product variants for mobile power supply are in use worldwide. Omnitron produces and supplies everything from small batteries to large-format battery packs with accessories in series and according to customer requirements. The company has made a name for itself with intelligent solutions for off-grid use, particularly in the field of medical technology.
Omnitron also got off to a flying start in the planning and installation of microwave radio systems in 1993. Since then, more than 2,000 microwave radio systems have been installed for customers.
Omnitron has thus been able to confirm and deepen its position as a system integrator and also impress with its strong service offering. Sustainability, reliability, and short response times are just some of the aspects with which Omnitron satisfies its customers in the long term. As part of this strategy, which the company consistently pursues, it is continuously expanding its market presence.
Future market and expert knowledge
In its anniversary year, Omnitron Griese GmbH is one of Europe's largest manufacturers of battery and rechargeable battery packs. Its highly specialized products cover a wide range of applications within the growing e-mobility market. Omnitron's team of experts also regularly participates in industry-specific forums as discussion partners and speakers and publishes articles on topics such as mobile power supply, approvals, safety, and new technologies.
NEW COMPETENCE CENTER IN HILCHENBACH
In 2016, the newly built 10,000 square meter competence center was occupied after only ten months of construction. Omnitron presented the new location to customers and suppliers at its 40th anniversary celebration.
In addition to sales, technical project management, development, and quality assurance, the warehouse and production facilities have also been relocated to new premises. A testing laboratory and a training center have been newly established at the site. In 2016, Omnitron Griese GmbH employees had the opportunity to show their families their new workplace during a family day.
1977–2017: ON AUGUST 18, OMNITRON CELEBRATED ITS 40TH ANNIVERSARY
Omnitron has now opened its doors to business partners and companions of the company. Company founder and managing partner Reinhardt Robert Griese and his son, managing director Adrian Robert Griese, as well as authorized signatory and branch manager Andres Matias Schmidt presented the past, present, and future of Omnitron Griese GmbH on this occasion.
In recognition of the company's anniversary, the chief executive of the Siegen Chamber of Industry and Commerce presented a certificate of honor for 40 years of successful entrepreneurial activity during the celebrations.
