Cell specialist Dr Frank Diehl joins Omnitron’s executive management as COO
May we introduce you to Dr. Frank Diehl? In his new role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Omnitron Griese GmbH, he will lead the battery and radio relay company alongside Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Adrian Griese. A brief profile:

Those who know him attest to his sharp analytical mind, strong leadership qualities, extensive corporate know-how and multicultural sensitivity. Anyone who encounters him will find a person who is open-minded, responsible and interested in others: Dr Frank Diehl is the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Omnitron Griese GmbH. Together with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Adrian Griese, he forms the new management team of the battery and radio relay company.
“Dr Frank Diehl has a wealth of knowledge in cell technologies,” says Adrian Griese. “His excellent expertise covers cell chemistry and cell design in particular. This competence makes him an ideal point of contact for our customers.” In addition to sales, Dr Frank Diehl is therefore responsible for areas including technical project development and production.
Dr Frank Diehl holds a PhD in physics and a degree in economics. He has been successfully active in the battery and energy storage sector for almost fifteen years. “My path to accumulators led me through the semiconductor industry to solar technology. There it was cell technologies and their corresponding battery systems that really captivated me,” says Dr Frank Diehl. Furthermore, he possesses in-depth expertise in the maritime and automotive sectors, with a focus on sustainability and business development in each. Dr Frank Diehl has held global management roles for twenty years. “I am now delighted to dedicate myself to the management duties at Omnitron.”
Dr Frank Diehl has already settled in completely at the tradition-conscious family business. “He has integrated into the team incredibly quickly. Dr Diehl already feels very familiar to many and is appreciated for his astute manner,” says Judica Cimander, partner at Omnitron Griese GmbH. She actively drove the search for a second managing director at the end of last year. “Dr Diehl is not only exceptionally technically proficient, but also able to grasp things quickly. At the same time, he remains approachable, open and direct.” For the family-run business, this dynamic addition to the management team is an important step towards securing its future. “Dr Diehl fits perfectly into our family, particularly within the management team alongside my brother Adrian. The two get on extremely well, both personally and professionally. I am very pleased that Frank Diehl and Omnitron have found each other.”
