Lithium thionyl chloride batteries


The lithium thionyl chloride battery has a cell voltage of 3.6 volts and thus achieves the voltage of a lithium-ion battery. This high voltage is kept stable by the battery over the entire discharge period. The lithium thionyl chloride cell is particularly suitable for applications that require low currents over a long period of time. The battery can be operated for months or even years without replacement and can be used at temperatures between -55 and +130 degrees Celsius without its performance being impaired.
